I must say that VANOC and the 77,500 Volunteers are amazing. They have become known lovingly as Smurfs (they love the name). They are everywhere, I am only at Callaghan and Whistler and I can only imagine what the other venues must be like with all of them. Thank you! We do appreciate you!

When we get back to the house, evenings are usually spent deciding on dinner. Yan and I did the honours, the other night, red meat on the BBQ, oven roasted potatoes, beer and a bit of Scotch for desert. During desert I pulled out my I-phone and the talking Carl App. We all had a great time laughing how well Carl could pronounce the many languages spoken within the house (I think Carl picked up some off colour language as well). I showed Oleg the Shazam App, he quickly pulled out his phone with some music from Moscow. The house erupted in laughter when Shazam gave us the name and composer! This is better than a karaoke machine.
