Racing, Coaching Tools, and a trip to the big city

The Woman’s Mass Start is the same format as the Men’s, the ladies do 12.5 km vs. the gents 15km. The day remained beautiful and the snow stayed firm. From the experience from the morning it became very apparent to shoot as clean as possible, yet do not push too hard skiing (unless you are a fabulous skier).

Woman's Start
Woman's 1st lap into the range
1st out on the last lap
Hauswald and Neuner to to chase
Medvedsteva 1st into shoot...but 4th out to ski the last lap.

I wanted to show some of the coaches and their tools so you could get an idea of what they do in the infield. The coach will radio out to another coach on the course to let the skier know to adjust their shooting the next time through.

Today was an early departure so Reece and I thought it would be a great opportunity to visit the Oakley Safe House, chill out with Lasse and watch hockey (ya all know I love hockey). We picked up Reeces neighbors; Dale and son James.

James, Lasse, Reece, Dale discussing Hockey, yea I'm interested

The Oakley Bar Athletes get to build their own glasses or goggles any make up they feel might look good together.

We later took a walk with the wild people in the street, close to 250,000 people some happy some sad but no fighting! Well that is the best my I phone could do with the torch.

I was running like an IDIOT with my phone to get this shot of Car #5036. The "A" means this car is assigned to Athletes. I also saw car 04DC (Doping Controle) but couldn't get a shot, for those that care.
