Digging Deep

This is a half day and lots to do before the Coppers come in and sniff out any bad stuff. Many skis got waxed & scraped & brushed & waxed & scraped & brushed, before they were picked up for testing. Lots of wax shavings ended up on the floor and an attempt to clean up was started. Out came a new Metropolis 1000, Roger insisted this was not what this thing was to be used for and went outside to show me how he had seen it used in his homeland. I am not sure if he wanted to imitate a witch or was hoping for a spot on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team.

We had to leave and had a chance to catch up on many things, Fill the van with gas, return unused wood to Home Depot, and buy beer (we were expecting our first house guests). Reece and I went for a run (well jog would better describe the pace) for about an hour. We got home and started thinking about food. The next thing I knew my two Scandinavian friends where watching TV complaining that all that was on was the Cooking Chanel. They were happy to tell me there was no Foootbaaall or Hockey on this TV.
Our Guests arrived, 5 members of the Norwegian Biathlon wax crew came in to admire our digs and our Canadian Beer (Biathlon Beer). I had a real reality check as there was not a word of English spoken for about an hour, and I realized how difficult it must be for Roger and Hakan sometimes when they are surrounded by Americans, Canadians and they struggle to keep up with the conversation. My Norwegian is about 5 words.
