Loosing one Service Man

Day 19

Later start for today’s races, the Men’s and Woman’s mass start races, Roger who I met on the 2nd at the Vancouver Airport is off home today, I stayed back to do a little sightseeing and drop him off at the bus station.

We started out by visiting Brackendale “The world’s largest winter nesting site for Bald Eagles”. Well I think the Eagles are only there from Nov. to Jan. So we were out of luck but the view what great.

Next we were off to see the big man in Squamish and Roger had to imitate him.
Today’s race is a Mass Start with the start list comprised by the results from the World Cup and the competitions (Sprint, Pursuit and Individual) from the previous days, a total of 30 participants only. The participant list is not final until the Individual event is completed. A competitor has no extra bullets and for every missed shot they are penalized 1 min. shooting accuracy is very important. The lone Canadian in the race is JP Leguellec.
