Well security has certainly started to tighten up; this is either a weather balloon or a surveillance balloon. We saw it flying in the valley between Whistler and Callaghan the other day and today it was parked near the Biathlon range. I wonder if they realize that these five red dots resemble the 5 targets at the end of a Biathlon range. Maybe these games are introducing moving targets.
As security tightened up, I was asked to park in the SRS (Race Support) parking area. At the end of the day, Reece, Roger and I left in the van leaving the keys for our second vehicle with Hakan and Olag. I told them it was located in the lot for SRS and this was Parking “D” (ya ya we will find this). When they got on the bus to go to the parking area, the bus driver (not from around here...) stopped at many parking areas knew nothing of a SRS parking area, and then took them past the secure area to the bus parking, (car not there). They then proceed to go back into the venue through security and the bus driver tried to explain about losing the car. The police didn’t understand and thought they meant their car might have been stolen (no no no, not stolen) we don’t know where it is parked. Why they were asked... we didn’t park it, again the police seem to think they were up to no good and suggested they might need keys to drive the car, Hakan showed the keys by jingling them in front of his face. They were asked for ID and Credentials then asked again for their story, a map was produced by the Police and parking lot “D” was found. They did get a ride from the bus driver to the parking area, were the car was parked and they did get back to the house for dinner.
I found a new car today #5071...I had to find out more about GM’s deal and here it is, they donated 2000 vehicles and VANOC leased the rest. I am still looking for #1 and the highest number.
